Minder is a free guide to KiwiSaver in New Zealand, made to help you understand your account and get the most from it.
What you'll find here
Our guides explain how KiwiSaver works in plain English. We cover contributions, the government's yearly payment and how to take money out early. We're also working on calculators and provider comparisons. All our information is based on New Zealand rules.
How Minder is paid for
You can use the site for free. If you want to talk to someone about your KiwiSaver, let us know and we'll connect you with a licensed adviser we trust. If you become their client, they might pay us a share of their fees, but you won't pay anything extra. KiwiSaver providers don't pay us for what we write, and nothing on the site is sponsored.
What Minder can't do
Minder only gives general information. We don't give financial advice, and the site can't tell you which fund or provider is best for you. A licensed adviser can help with those decisions.
Who runs it
Jason Dark is a software engineer in Auckland and the founder of Minder. He writes the guides and builds the tools himself. He started Minder to help New Zealanders understand KiwiSaver and get good advice when they need it.
